Talk radio 702 host Azania Motsaka on Tuesday said she had quit her job.

Azania has been in radio for 20 years – the last six at 702.

“It’s been incredible,” Azania told listeners on her afternoon show. The bubbly host said the opportunity to be a talk show host had enhanced her life.

“I think this resignation has been coming for some time. I actually resigned in July,” revealed Azania.

“I have been enjoying going back to study.”

The radio host, who has an interest in gardening to feed the poor and wants to help poor schools, said that studying will be her occupation for now.

“Thank you for liking me.”

Callers to the station, including Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi, reminisced about the good times Azania brought during her afternoon presentation.

While they were generally sorry she was leaving, callers wished Azania well in her well for the future.

Her last show is on Friday.
