Miss India Harnaaz Sandhu has been crowned Miss Universe 2021.
Miss Paraguay Nadia Ferreira was the first runner-up, with Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane as the second runner-up.
The pageant winner earns a rumoured six-figure salary in US dollars and enjoys a one-year stay at the Miss Universe apartment in New York – complete with groceries and transport.
In addition to wearing the US $5 million crown – consisting of 1 770 diamonds set in 18-karat gold, Miss Universe has other perks that include a year’s supply of makeup, hair products, shoes, clothes, jewelry, and skincare.
Then there is the paid-for travel around the world.
