The police in Paarl are asking the public to help find 12 stolen racing bicycles worth about one million rand that belong to the visiting Mauritian National cycling team.
The bicycles were stolen this week from the Picardi Guest Farm storage facility in Paarl between Wednesday and Thursday.
Women’s winner of the Cape Town Cycle Tour Kirsten Wilkins, whose bicycle was also stolen, said on Twitter the “whole of Mauritius National Team had their bicycles stolen”.
The Mauritian National team departs Friday for Egypt Friday All African Championships.
They have appealed to “our South African friends” who can help to do so.
