City Of Tshwane Warns Of Water Supply Cuts On Sunday

WATER DISRUPPTION: City of Tshwane will be carrying out maintenance work on Sunday

The City of Tshwane has warned of water interruptions in some areas east of Pretoria on Sunday owing to maintenance work on a reservoir.

In a terse communique, the City said, “it will be undertaking planned maintenance on its bulk water supply system which will include cleaning of the Zithobeni Reservoir in Region 7”.

Selby Bokaba the City’s Divisional Head: Strategic Communication, said maintenance work was scheduled for Sunday 22 May 2022 from 08h00 to 16h00 and will lead to water supply interruptions.

The following areas will be affected: • Bronkhorstspruit Town • Ekandustria • Ekangala • Rethabiseng • Zithobeni

‘”The city has arranged roaming water tankers for alternative water supply during this period,” said Bokaba.

“The City of Tshwane profusely apologises for the inconvenience this may cause.”
