CRASH-LANDED: The pilot and passenger of this Piper PA-28 Cherokee light aircraft survived with injuries

A Piper PA-28 Cherokee light aircraft crashed-landed on Wednesday morning on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Strand, Western Cape.

Netcare 911 responded to the crash, where paramedics said they “found the pilot and passenger, both adult males had sustained serious injuries”.

Shawn Herbst, Netcare 911 Media said: “Both patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to hospital for further care”.

Relevant authorities are investigating.
