South Africa’s most decorated football coach Pitso Mosimane has guided his new club Al-Ahli Saudi FC to a 2-1 victory over Najran SC.
The former champions came back from a goal down to win their match in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday.
The win moved Al-Ahli to the fourth position – just three points behind the second division log leaders.
When “jingles” – as Mosimane is affectionately known – arrived from SA just over a week ago, Al-Ahli had played six matches in the 202/23 season.
Former champions, Al-Ahli, who were relegated from the Saudi Pro League last season were in seventh place after two wins, three draws, and a defeat.
They were six points behind log leaders Al Akhdoud.
