BOND: SA football coach Pitso Mosimane hugged by his Al Ahli Saudi players on Sunday

South Africa’s best decorated football coach Pisto Mosimane has done it again – his Al Ahli Saudi team beat Al Riyadh 2-0 on Sunday.

Mosimane’s winning mentality has already rubbed off onto the former Saudi champions, who were relegated from the Saudi Pro League in the 2021/22 season.

In just a couple of weeks since Mosimane arrived, Ahli Saudi players have found their mojo, winning back-to-back games for the first time this season.

The win was Mosimane’s second in as many games.

South Africa’s most decorated coach joined the club when they had slumped to 7th in the first division.

However, Mosimane has managed to turn the fortunes of Al Ahli Saudi for the better in a very short time.

The former coach of Egyptian football giants Al Ahly Sporting Club has already formed a bond with his players at his new club, Al Ahli Saudi.

They ran to hug the South African after they put the ball into the Al Riyadh net.

Last week on Tuesday, Al Ahli celebrated their first victory under Mosimane, beating Najran 2-1.
