Johannesburg – Two people died Sunday when a minibus taxi rammed into the back of a heavy-duty truck in the Centurion area at about 7.30 pm.
Emer-G-Med said paramedics responded to the scene of the collision along the R55.
“Reports from the scene are that a minibus taxi crashed into the back of a heavy-duty truck,” said Emer-G-Med..
“Two occupants of the minibus suffered fatal injuries and were declared dead on arrival of paramedics.”
Emer-G-Med said an injured female was airlifted to a specialist facility for further definitive care.
“Five commuters from the taxi sustained critical injuries and were treated and stabilised on scene by emergency care practitioners before being taken by ambulances to nearby hospitals for further care, with one of them,” said Emer-G-Med.
