Johannesburg – Local footwear brand VAYA has signed a first-of-its-kind partnership deal with the biggest podcast in Africa, Podcast and Chill with MacG.
VAYA on Thursday announced a long-term partnership deal with Podcast and Chill.
The deal makes Vaya the official sponsor and exclusive footwear partner for Podcast and Chill which prides itself on broadcasting “only the best celebrity interviews”.
Giving reasons for the deal, Themba Makamo, founder and CEO of VAYA said: “As a fast-growing footwear brand in the country, we also have the ambition to dominate the African footwear market.
“In our quest to be Africa’s number one footwear brand, we had to find a strategic partner, who is already a force to be reckoned with in the African continent.
“This is part of VAYA’s vision that made the partnership with the biggest podcast in Africa possible.”
Makamo revealed that VAYA and Podcast and Chill share identical founding characteristics – both entities were founded by young, black, and gifted entrepreneurs.
VAYA and Podcast and Chill founders experienced personal trials, tribulations, and triumphs.
Commenting on the partnership, MacG said: “We chose VAYA as our exclusive footwear partner because of the shared culture of helping others, similar to Podcast and Chill“.
He said Podcast and Chill and Vaya also share the desire to achieve set goals while giving second chances to those who dare to try again.
In recent times artists like Dr. Malinga, Celeste Ntuli, Mpho Popps, and many others have revived their careers after reconnecting with fans on Podcast and Chill.
“Podcast and Chill, as a platform, allows talent to strive and thrive,” said MacG.
Through this deal, Podcast and Chill‘s footwear, Footwear | Podcast and Chill Network (thisismacg.com), will be sold exclusively at VAYA stores and online stores.
Starting this Friday (16 December 2022), a limited range of Podcast and Chill slides will be on sale at VAYA stores at Newtown Junction Mall in Johannesburg and Sammy Marks Square in Pretoria.
