Centurion – An elderly couple has been savagely attacked at their house located in a small holding.
An elderly man was found dead outside the house and his wife survived the attack with severe injuries, first responders said.
Emer-G-Med said Just after 7 pm on Monday evening paramedics responded to an emergency call in the Mnandi area of Centurion regarding a house robbery on a small holding.
“On arrival on scene, an elderly male was found outside of the residence with fatal injuries. He was declared dead on arrival of paramedics,” recounted Emer-G-Med.
“‘An elderly female patient, believed to be the wife of the deceased, was found to have sustained critical injuries during the attack on their home by unknown suspects and was stabilised on scene by Emer-G-Med paramedics with the assistance of CERT and Gauteng Provincial Ambulance services.
“She was transported to a specialist medical facility for the definitive care that she required.”
