SHARE

Radio listeners have joined HOT 102.7FM in mourning the death of renowned broadcaster Mark Pilgrim.

Pilgrim died at the age of 53 in Johannesburg at 10:45 on 5 March 2023 after a battle with cancer.

The much-loved radio personality bravely documented his fight against cancer and many had been hoping he would beat the dreaded disease as he had done before when he was first diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Sadly, on Sunday, Pilgrim succumbed to stage 4 lung cancer.

Though many admitted they were aware of how gravely ill Pilgrim was toward the end, callers to radio stations said they had remained hopeful that he would recover.

They expressed shock and sadness at his passing.

He will be sorely missed.
