Argentinian football superstar Lionel Messi has been suspended by his club PSG for two weeks for travelling to Saudi Arabia without permission.
The 35-year-old World Cup Winner made a promotional trip to Saudi Arabia, where he is rumoured to head after his PSG contract expires.
Messi reportedly jetted to Saudi Arabia, where he serves as an official “Tourism Ambassador,” after PSG’s 3-1 loss at home Sunday against FC Lorient.
The suspension is said to be without pay. As a result, Messi will miss PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 games against Troyes and Ajaccio.
Messi is unlikely to extend his contract with PSG after the season ends in early June.
