Johannesburg – Andrei Shvedov is the 43-year-old man arrested at OR International Airport before he could smuggle a suitcase packed with lion bones onto a flight to Vietnam.

The foreign national appeared briefly in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 26 June 2023.
Shvedov, who was arrested on Friday, was remanded in custody after his matter was adjourned.
He will next appear in court on 11 July 2023.
