On Friday, the Orkney Magistrate’s Court postponed the case against Sepale to 24 August 2023.

The accused was due to register a formal bail application, but opted to abandon it, following consultations with his lawyer.

The fallen Councillor is facing 11 provisional charges, two for statutory rape, three for the violation of a child with consent, one for manufacturing pornographic material, four for rape, and one for sexual intimidation.

In one of the cases, the accused allegedly shared nude pictures with one of the two boys he allegedly violated.

The parents of two boys aged 15 and 17 reported the matter to the police when they became aware of the abuse.
