Durban – A Metro Police officer has been killed in a shooting incident along the M7 Durban Bound at Hans Detman offramp.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services said they were alerted of the shooting just after 07:00 on Thursday morning.
“On assessment, it was discovered that the officer had sustained a fatal gunshot wound,” ALS Paramedics said.
“Unfortunately, there was nothing more paramedics could do for the man and he was declared deceased.
“At this stage the details leading up to the shooting is unknown, however, SA Police Service officers were in attendance and will be investigating further.”
