Defending Rugby World Cup champions, Springboks, overpowered Scotland 18-3 in their opening Pool B match on Sunday at the Stade de Marseille.
The first half was a cagey affair with the Boks leading 6-3 at the break.
Scotland had all the momentum going into the half-time break, but the South Africans went a gear up to wrestle it back.
After the break, the South Africans came out with more purpose, scoring two quick tries by Kurt-Lee Arends and Pieter-Steph Du Toit to stretch the lead.
