Johannesburg – Popular presenter Xolani Khumalo, who is facing a murder charge related to the death of a suspected drug dealer during the filming of his show, has parted ways with Moja Love TV.
“Moja Love TV Channels has terminated its relationship with Mr Xolani Khumalo, presenter of one of the channel’s leading shows, Sizok’thola,” said the station in a terse statement on Friday, which was attributed to Nonzwakazi Cekete, spokesperson of Siyaya TV Channes, which own Moja Love TV.
“The channel will not be commenting on any matters relating to Mr. Khumalso at this stage and wishes him everything of the best in his future endeavours.”
Matters came to a head for the presenter earlier this year in July, when the channel raided the home of suspected drug dealer Robert “Kicks” Varrie in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni.
Varrie was declared dead at the Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus after being interrogated during the filming of a Moja Love Sizokuthola episode.
