Schoemansdal – Missing 22-year-old Ayanda Chirwa was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning when she left a party in a village in Driekoppies, Mpumalanga.

Ayanda, who is from Buffelspruit, near Schoemansdal – outside Malelane, attended the party with her sister and cousin.

There were suggestions that Ayanda left the venue in a huff, alone, after a quarrel with her cousin.

Police and her family were on Wednesday still searching for Ayanda.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, said: “According to information, Ayanda joined her sister and cousin when they went to a party on Saturday.

“It is alleged that while attending the party, Chirwa and her cousin had a conflict.

“It is further said that she decided to leave them behind in the early hours of Sunday.

“It was the last time she was seen by her sister.”

Brigadier Mohlala added: “Police are requesting the public to assist them in uniting Ms. Ayanda Chirwa with her family”.

Anyone with information that could lead to the whereabouts of the Ayanda should call Detective Sergeant Vusi Bhiya on 082 923 1309 or  08600 10111.
