Johannesburg – The African National Congress (ANC) on Friday announced that it has settled out of court with Ezulweni Investments.

“The matter has been resolved in the best interest of both parties,” the ANC said in a terse statement issued by  National Spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri.

The bone of contention between the ANC and Ezulweni Investments stems from the latter’s claim for a concluded agreement with the governing party in February 2019 to procure, banners, hand flags, street pole flags, stickers, and branded clothing for the general elections.

Following the ANC’s denial, Ezulweni applied to the High Court for payment of over R102 million, with interest and costs, a relief which was granted.

Some reports suggested that the ANC was going to be liquidated over the debt.

However, the matter has been resolved.
