SHARE

Durban – A mother and her daughter were shot and seriously wounded while driving along Inanda Road in Springfield Park just after 10:00 on Friday.

When ALS Paramedics Medical Services and Netcare 911 arrived on the scene they said they found “total chaos”.

A bullet-riddled SUV was in the middle of the road.

“Two people believed to be a mom and daughter are in critical condition following a shooting incident,” said ALS Paramedics Medical Service.

“Two occupants in the SUV had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to their bodies.”

ALS Paramedics Medical Service said Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise the injured mom and daughter.

Both patients were placed on manual ventilators before they were taken to a nearby hospital.

At this stage the events leading up to the shooting were unknown, however, the SA Police Service officers were on the scene.

No arrests have been reported.
