Johannesburg – Bafana Bafana turned on the style Sunday night to beat Namibia 4 – 0 in their second Afcon match played at Korhogo, Ivory Coast.
Percy Tau opened the scoring from the penalty spot, a brace from ever-green Themba Zwane and the fourth from Substitute Thapelo Maseko all but secured Bafana’s qualification for the knockout stages.
Having lost the first game 0-2 to Mali, the South Africans only need a draw against Tunisia on Wednesday to make it out of Group E.
“We played a very good game… we prepared well… we worked on their weaknesses… they are dangerous with the long ball,” said Bafana coach Hugo Broos after the game.
