Carolina – Murder suspect 38-year-old Xolani Sydney Simelane, who is accused of fatally shooting 27-year-old female mine manager Zanele Zwane in Carolina, Mpumalanga, has been remanded in custody.

Simelane appeared in the Carolina Magistrate’s Court on Monday, (28 January 2024).

Zwane was gunned down at her home in Delmas last week.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson Colonel Donald Mdhluli said: “Simelane appeared in court and the case was postponed to 5 February 2024. The suspect remains in custody”.
