Photojournalist Fati Moalusi Ditlopo Has Died, Memorial Service Today

PASSED AWAY: Fati Moalusi Ditlopo died on Monday

Pretoria – The memorial service for photojournalist Fati Moalusi Ditlopo, who died earlier this week, will be held later today.

In a terse statement former journalist and communications specialist, Lesego Masemola Mathibela, who is close to the family, said: “It is with great sadness to inform you of the passing of our fellow brother in the trenches, Fati Moalusi Ditlopo. 

“He passed away on Monday. Many in the media space will know him as a talented and creative photographer that you have either worked with or come across.”

Another colleague said Ditlopo had not been well for some time and had been hospitalised.

Funeral and memorial arrangements are as follows: 

Prayer service, Thursday at 18:00 – 19:00

Venue: No 4 Maranta Ave Karen park

Memorial service, Friday at 18:00-19:00 

Venue: No 4 Maranta Ave Karen park

Funeral service on Saturday at Anglican Church Pretoria North, from 07:30 – 09:30  

The burial will take place at Zandfontein Cemetery.
