Johannesburg – A police constable linked to the Railway Protection and Security Services at Park Station, Johannesburg, is on the run after he fatally shot a resident of Protea Glen Soweto.
The wanted constable is accused of killing the 35-year-old man on Boxing Day, (26 December 2024), at about 17:00.

A bullet and cartridge were found at the crime scene.
The football-loving Protea resident was declared deceased at the crime scene.
His body has since been taken to Diepkloof Mortuary.
IPID said: “On the day of the incident, the accused officer was supposed to report for night duty at his work base which is Park Station, but never arrived at work.
“A search for the accused officer is ongoing.”
