Johannesburg – The South African Police Service (SAPS), in collaboration with Customs officials, intercepted a drug shipment and seized cocaine worth an estimated R6 million at OR Tambo International Airport.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Amanda van Wyk said the drug bust was made on Tuesday, (4 March 2025).

“The cocaine was concealed in boxes disguised as hair products.”
Further investigations were ongoing.
In a separate incident on the same day, SAPS officers arrested a 55-year-old Nigerian national for drug trafficking.
