Well, AI researchers have developed and created what is called: Humanity’s Last Exam (HLE)
This is an examination with PhD-level questions in EVERY subject.
The HLE is a challenging benchmark designed to test deep reasoning, problem-solving, and general intelligence.
This test consists of challenging, novel questions that extend beyond typical language tasks and require broad world knowledge and logical reasoning.
The HLE aims to assess how close AI systems are to achieving advanced, human-level reasoning abilities.
It is used to compare the most capable LLMs and track progress toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
The smartest people in the world typically score a maximum of 3% on the HLE.
This means answering only about 75 – 125 of the ~2 500 questions correctly.
The best AI systems in the world are scoring between 21% and 30%
Grok 4, launched on 9 July 2025 by Elon Musk, scored an outstanding, astonishing and staggering 44.4%
As AI systems continue to improve their performance on the HLE, the smartest person is STUCK at 3%
Indeed, slowly but surely, Superintelligence will get here.
What does all this mean?
Food for thought!!
How do the people govern a billion AI systems or robots that are individually smarter than the smartest human being?
There are so many unknown unknowns.
