Ermelo – A shocking horror story has unfolded in Ermelo, Mpumalanga, where 37-year-old Sibusiso Maseko has been murdered, and his body chopped into bits before some of the parts were set alight, allegedly by his girlfriend.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli said a 33-year-old woman had been arrested in connection with the dastardly deed.

She was arrested in Extension 2 of Wesselton Township, near Ermelo, Mpumalanga, on Wednesday, 13 August 2025.
Narrating events leading to the domestic tragedy, Brigadier Mdhluli said: “Preliminary investigation reveals that the couple had a heated argument over an unknown matter before the woman stabbed the boyfriend to death”.
“The police received a report and promptly dispatched officers to the scene, where they discovered some dismembered body parts inside a plastic bag, whilst other body parts were found inside a maize meal bag.”
Some of the remains had been incinerated in a fire outside the house.

Brigadier Mdhluli said the suspect will appear in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, Thursday, 14 August 2025, on several charges, including murder and defeating the ends of justice.
