Johannesburg – The Mandela Rhodes Foundation has announced the four finalists for the annual prestigious 2025 Äänit Prize.
The finalists are: Ntsako Mgiba, Fama Jallow, Kenechukwu Ikebuaku, and Sunday Ochai.
These young leaders are from South Africa, Nigeria, and The Gambia and are tackling some of the continent’s most pressing challenges in education, climate change, and technology.
Their innovative ventures highlight how African leadership is actively reshaping the future of the continent.
“We believe their stories of resilience, ingenuity, and social impact will be of interest to your readers,” the foundation said on Tuesday, 9 September 2025.
The Äänit Prize is now in its 5th year and offers up to USD100 000 in funding to support initiatives with a positive social impact across Africa.
The winner of the Äänit Prize will be named on Friday, 19 September 2025.
