Johannesburg – The Patriotic Alliance (PA) has cleared its suspended deputy president, Kenny Kunene, of any wrongdoing after he was found at the house of murder accused Katiso “KT” Molefe.
Kunene was suspended after reports surfaced that he was present when police swooped on a Sandton property to arrest KT Molefe, the alleged mastermind of the murder of DJ Sumbody.

Late Monday, 22 September 2025, PA President Gayton McKenzie announced on Facebook that the probe into his deputy has found no wrongdoing.
Mckenzie said the lawyers who probed Kunene found no wrongdoing on his part.
Mckenzie said the lawyers, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, who probed Kunene, found no wrongdoing on his part.
“I just got the report of the DP… the lawyers are done with the investigations… Eugene sent me a note to say his story corroborates… the DP is innocent,” McKenzie said.
Kunene had insisted he was only at KT Molefe’s house because he was taking a reporter there to do a story.
“His Story checks out,” McKenzie said.
