Cape Town – The world’s elite beach volleyball players are heading to South Africa and are set to soon descend upon Cape Town.
Top volleyball players will, later this month, take over the iconic white sands of Camps Bay Beach for the Beach ProTour, which arrives in Cape Town for the very first time.
With the breathtaking backdrop of Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, Camps Bay is set to transform into a buzzing beach arena as 96 athletes from 48 countries compete for glory on South African shores.
This marks one of the most exciting stops on the global tour, bringing together fast-paced matches, beach culture, live entertainment, and a festival atmosphere.
The Beach Pro Tour is the premier global professional beach volleyball circuit for both men and women, organised by Volleyball World and the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).
Securing victory on the Beach Pro Tour is regarded as one of the sport’s highest achievements, surpassed in prestige only by the World Championships and the Olympic Games.
During the tournament, fans can expect thrilling international competition featuring top-ranked men’s and women’s teams, beachside entertainment including DJs, local food stalls, and family-friendly activities, and a global spotlight on Cape Town, showcasing its natural beauty, cultural energy, and world-class hospitality.

The event sponsored by Telkom, which will be held from 22 to 26 October 2025, also holds significant value for the City of Cape Town, with matches set to be broadcast live worldwide to millions of viewers.
Globally, volleyball boasts an audience of 480 million, and was the most-watched sport of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
