RTMC Investigators Dispatched To Limpopo To Probe Bus Crash That Killed 42

Johannesburg – The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) has dispatched crash investigators to the bus crash scene in Limpopo, where 42 people lost their lives.

RTMC spokesperson Simon Zwane on Monday, 13 October 2025, said the crash investigators will establish the cause of a major bus crash that claimed 42 lives.

The crash occurred on Sunday, 12 October 2025, when the bus carrying passengers overturned on the N1 near Ingwe Lodge.

Zwane said the casualties include seven children, 17 adult males, and 18 adult females.

“Traffic flow on the road is affected by ongoing investigations,” said Zwane.

“Motorists are advised to be patient and exercise extreme caution.”
