Johannesburg – Today, Sunday 2 August 2026, is the last chance for every South African to register to vote, in person, at voting stations across the country.
This is a last opportunity to go to voting stations to get correctly registered to vote.
Only correctly registered voters will be able to vote on Election Day, 4 November.
“If you do not ensure that you are correctly registered, you risk losing your power at the ballot box,” said MP Ashor Sarupen, the Democratic Alliance’s National Campaign Manager.
“In this election, your power can get your city or town working, but if you are not correctly registered, you give up that power.
“Getting the services you need, and getting your town or city working, is in your hands if you vote in the upcoming election as a correctly registered voter this weekend.
“Don’t miss this last chance to register to vote, so that you can vote for a working municipality where you live.
“Only the registered have the power, in the November election.”
