Pretoria – Stella Ndabeni, the Minister of Small Business Development, has been appointed Acting Health Minister.
Announcing the move at the weekend, the Presidency said: “President Cyril Ramaphosa has, in terms of section 98 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa of 1996, appointed Minister Stella Ndabeni as Acting Minister of Health with effect from 24 August to 30 September 2026”.
In a statement made available to The Bulrushes on Sunday, 23 August 2026, Vincent Magwenya, spokesperson to the President, added that “Minister Ndabeni will undertake all functions of the Minister of Health for the said period while Minister Motsoaledi remains on sick leave”.
