Durban – Police in Msinga, KwaZulu-Natal, have arrested a 40-year-old woman who was wanted in connection with the murder of DJ Warras.
The arrested woman, Hlengiwe Goodness Buthelezi, was wanted in connection with the murder on charges of conspiracy to commit murder and murder.
“DJ Warras,” whose real name was Warrick Stock, was fatally shot on 16 December 2025 outside the Zambesi Building, near the Carlton Centre, in Johannesburg’s CBD.

Two men – Victor Majola and Mozambique national Joaquim Armando Pacula – were arrested while the female suspect, Buthelezi, remained on the run.
Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said earlier today, Wednesday 9 September 2026, detectives and Visible Policing members received information that the suspect was hiding in Msinga.
“Police followed up on the information, which led them to a homestead in the Ngcengeni area in Msinga where the woman was hiding,” said Colonel Netshiunda.
“The suspect was arrested and will be handed over to police in Gauteng for further handling.”
So far in the murder trial, the 25-year-old Mozambican accused, Pacula, admitted in a plea and sentence agreement under Section 105A of the Criminal Procedure Act that he shot and killed Stock in exchange for R25 000.
On 7 August 2026, the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg convicted him of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and contravening the Immigration Act.
He was sentenced to 25 years for murder, eight years for the firearm charge, six months for ammunition, and 12 months for the immigration offence.
The other sentences run concurrently, for an effective 25-year term.
The co-accused, 44-year-old Majola, who allegedly orchestrated the killing, was arrested in December 2025, denied bail, and remains in custody facing charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

She is reported to be Majola’s girlfriend and is alleged to have sent Stock’s personal details and those of his partner, including vehicle information, to Majola ahead of the killing.
Buthelezi was reportedly known to have links to the illegally occupied Zambesi Building as one of the persons who collected rent from tenants.
DJ Warras, who doubled as a security owner, was attempting to evict the illegal tenants when he was shot dead.
