Durban – A head-on collision between a minibus taxi and an articulated truck along the N2 has l1 people dead and eight others injured.
KwaZulu-Natal Transport and Human Settlements MEC Siboniso Duma said the head-on collision occurred at about 4 am, Sunday 27 September 2026, along the N2, in Inkosi Mtubatuba Local Municipality.
He said the minibus taxi was travelling Northbound and the truck was travelling in the opposite direction when the deadly collision occurred, resulting in the minibus taxi catching fire.
MEC Duma said other people were critically injured and had also sustained burn wounds.
