Johannesburg – Rejuvenated Gospel ensemble 7th Harmony_SA has announced the release date of their return “debut” single, “Vukani Makholwa”.
After a decade-long hiatus, the group reunites with renewed passion and purpose, ready to uplift and inspire.
The highly anticipated single is set to drop on 1 May 2026.
Translating to “Wake up, believers,” this stirring gospel anthem serves as a powerful call to faith, integrity, and spiritual renewal.

This imminent release heralds the triumphant return of 7th Harmony, a unique vocal ensemble originally founded in 2007 in KuGompo City, Eastern Cape.
Under the visionary leadership of Group Leader, Music Director, and songwriter Ando Nkohla, 7th Harmony is dedicated to crafting music that not only entertains but also restores hope and ignites the spirit.
Collaborating with renowned producer Siyabonga Hlekani— known for his work with celebrated artists such as Teargas, Nathi Mankayi, Vusi Nova, and Lord Comforters—“Vukani Makholwa” embodies the rich traditions of Eastern Cape gospel while incorporating the intricate influences of jazz.
The ensemble features an impressive lineup of vocal talent: Mihlali Mngonyama on Soprano; Mihlali Yozi on Mezzo Soprano; Nomgcobo Diniso on Alto; Hope Ntshona on Mezzo Soprano & Alto; Nikita Jaceni on Contralto & Midlock; Akhona Mafani on Baritone; Lunga Mpehlo on Bass; and Ando Nkohla on Tenor & Counter Tenor.
