Umbilo – A man in his 40s was shot in the leg and robbed inside Umbilo Park, Durban.
The man was walking home after work around 6 pm on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, when he was shot and robbed.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said: “Paramedics arrived on the scene to find South African Police Service and Security Officials already in attendance and were shown to where they found a male in his forties in the park who had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg”.
Jamieson said the man was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before he was taken to a nearby hospital.
“This is the second shooting incident ALS Paramedics has responded to in this park in the last three months,” Jamieson said.
Police are investigating.
No arrests reported.
