MURDERED IN FEBRUARY: Ntwentle Sanelisiwe Sibiya
SHARE

Murder accused Ziphozethu Shange – the man who was allegedly found on his PlayStation while his 25-year-old girlfriend Ntwentle Sanelisiwe Sibiya lay dead next to a couch – on Wednesday abandoned his bail application.

After three previous failed attempts to hear the accused’s bail request, the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court was told Shange no longer wanted to apply for bail.

“We are pleased to advise that bail was abandoned and the accused remains in custody,” said Baepi Attorneys, who are keeping a watching brief on the matter.

Murder accused Shange has been in custody since that fateful Friday, 11 February, when Ntwentle was found dead in their Riversands apartment.

The Sibiya family told The Bulrushes that they were “pleased that the bail request was abandoned and the accused remains in custody”.

Shange will be remanded in custody until 18 March 2022 when he will again appear in court to face murder charges.
