Arrested Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court Monday and was granted bail of R1 500.
The court also ordered him to surrender his passport to the investigating officer.
Magistrate Ruby Mathys also warned the accused not to contact the complainant in the case Victor Ramerafe, who accuses Lux Dlamini of forcibly entering his home in Soweto under the pretext of searching for drugs.
The complainant also accused the Dudula leader of theft.
Lux Dlamini was arrested Thursday for alleged housebreaking, theft and defeating the ends of justice.
In court the Dudula leader was referred to as ” Mohlaoli”.
The case has been postponed to 27 May 2022.
