Just a few months after winning her freedom from her dad, 40-year-old American Pop Star Britney Spears has announced she is expecting.
Britney, who has two teenage children, has not been happier since her 13-year-long conservatorship that allowed her dad to control her finances and other aspects of her life ended in November, last year.
The pop singer said on Instagram that she was on holiday in Maui with her fiancé, the personal trainer and actor Sam Asghari, when she found out she was preggers.
Britney said she lost so much weight to go on her Maui trip only to gain it back.
“I thought, geez, what happened to my stomach?” she wrote on Instagram.
“So I got a pregnancy test and, uh, well I am having a baby!
As part of her conservatorship Britney, who was just 16 years old when she made her debut on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with the now classic Baby One More Time, was not allowed to fall pregnant.
Britney’s estate is reportedly worth about US$70 million.
