To counter the threat of hackers, Google announced that it has released Chrome 100.0.4896.88, which it says can “defend against the latest hacks”.
However, Google warns the new Chrome version will not be made available to everyone all at once but will instead “roll out over the coming days/weeks.”
To manually check for the update, click the three dots in the top right corner of the browser and navigate to Settings > Help > About Google Chrome.
Google in its official blog on Monday, revealed there were at least 11 successful Chrome hacks discovered – nine of which it said pose a “high threat level”.
The hacks affect Chrome running on every major platform, including Windows, Mac and Linux.
