A reaction officer is in a critical condition following a shooting incident on Lyttleton Avenue in Reservoir Hills, Durban, just after 8 pm on Wednesday.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services arrived together with Netcare911 on the scene to find that a reaction officer believed to be in his forties had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
“The officer was in a critical condition and was stabilized on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being rushed through to a nearby Durban hospital for the further treatment that he required,” said ALS Paramedics Medical Services.
“At this stage the events leading up to the incident are unknown, however, SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.”
