Pretoria – There has been a water supply interruption affecting several parts of the City in Region 3 owing to repairs of a damaged water pipe along Jan Shoba Street which have since been completed.
The City of Tshwane on Thursday said it was aware of a water supply interruption.
“A team of technicians had to shut down the water supply yesterday evening at the Waterkloof Reservoir, to effect the necessary repair work on a damaged water pipe along Jan Shoba Street,” said the City of Tshwane.
Areas that are affected include:
- Groenkloof
- Brooklyn
- Nieuw Muckleneuk
- Bailey’s Muckleneuk
- Waterkloof
- Llynwood
- Menlo Park
“The team has managed to conclude repairs this morning and the water supply has been opened,” said the City of Tshwane.
“However, given that the system was empty, the network still needs to fill up before the supply to consumer normalises.”
