Durban – A man in his 20s has been fatally shot during a home invasion in Chatsworth, South of Durban.
“Just after 05:00 this morning, ALS Paramedics responded to a shooting incident on Turfwood Place in Havenside Chatsworth, South of Durban,” spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said Wednesday, (9 April 2025).
“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that one person a male believed to be in his 20s had been rushed privately to hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
“Unfortunately he passed away before he could arrive at the hospital due to injuries sustained.”
Jamieson said the dead man’s parents who were also present when the incident occurred were severely traumatised.
He said the parents suffered medical conditions as a result of the incident.
“They were stabilised on the scene by ALS Paramedics before being transported to a nearby Hospital for further care that they required,” Jamieson said.
Police were on the scene. No arrests have been made.
