Durban – A male motorist in his 30s has been fatally shot at the intersection of Campbell Road and Clark Road in the Umbilo Area of Durban.
Speaking from the scene, spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said ALS Paramedics responded to reports of a crash at about 7pm on Saturday, 27 September 2025.
“Paramedics arrived on scene to find that a vehicle had crashed into pillars on the side of the road,” said Jamieson.
“On closer inspection by paramedics, they found a male believed to be in his 30s who had also sustained gunshot wounds to his upper body.
“Unfortunately, the man showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene.”
The police were on the scene and had cordoned off the area.
The identity of the dead man has not yet been disclosed.
No arrests have been reported, and the motive of the shooting remains unclear.
