Several people were injured Tuesday morning after their minibus taxi crashed along the M1 Higginson Highway, near Havenside in Chatsworth, KwaZulu-Natal.

The accident occurred just before 6 am.

ALS Paramedics Medical Services said when paramedics arrived on the scene they found the minibus taxi on its side next to a tree.

Several people were injured and in need of medical assistance.

More ambulances, as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics, were dispatched to assist.

“Six people sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious and were all stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being transported to a nearby Durban hospital for the further treatment that they required,” said ALS Paramedics Medical Services.
