Durban – A passenger sitting in the front seat and the driver were hurt and entrapped Thursday morning after their minibus taxi crashed into the back of a truck along Southcoast Road.
ALS Paramedics said the collision occurred just before Bluff Road in the direction of Umlazi.
“One person is severely entrapped in the taxi, and paramedics are treating the patient while waiting for the arrival of rescue specialists to use the jaws of life and other hydraulic tools to extricate the patient,” ALS Paramedics on the scene said.

The driver of the minibus taxi also sustained injuries and was entrapped with the only passenger.
Netcare 911 and the Durban emergency services assisted in extricating the two from the wreckage before they were taken to the hospital.
