Cape Town – The service station in Main Road Hout Bay is the 200th site in South Africa to be rebranded from Caltex to Astron Energy.

Astron Energy began the rebranding of its network of over 850 service stations in August 2022 and reached the milestone of 100 rebranded sites in July this year.

The rebrand team has now hit the 200th site milestone which included the remarkable feat of recently rebranding 31 sites in just 31 days all across South Africa.

Astron Energy hopes to complete over 230 sites by the end of 2023.

Astron Energy CEO Thabiet Booley said: “Our ambition to be South Africa’s next biggest fuel brand is now well and truly underway as we become a significant part of the South African landscape.”

Astron Energy Hout Bay Retailers Asad Mia and Altaaf Karjiker said they are thrilled that their site is the 200th to be rebranded.

Mia said: “This is a momentous occasion for Astron Energy and ourselves and we are thankful to the Astron Energy team and to all the contractors involved. It was a pleasure working with such a dedicated and professional team”.

Karjiker added: “To our customers, thank you for bearing with us during the rebranding process, and we look forward to welcoming you to our new look forecourt.”
