FUTURELIFE, South Africa’s leading functional food brand has launched the latest addition to its popular Granola Crunch range, Granola Crunch Zero.

Designed to cater to health-conscious consumers seeking a delicious, versatile breakfast or snack option, this new variant sets itself apart with its innovative zero-added cane sugar formula.

“Many consumers are heeding the advice of healthcare professionals by becoming more mindful of their long-term health and are making smarter food choices,” says Sonal Ratan, FUTURELIFE Dietitian.

“This includes reducing their sugar intake significantly, which is why we have introduced certain zero-added cane sugar options to our Smart food range”.

Ratan explains that instead of traditional cane sugar, FUTURELIFE Granola Crunch Zero combines two carefully researched and internationally recognised sweeteners: maltitol and sucralose.

It also includes prebiotics such as inulin and oligofructose syrup as well as a probiotic to further enhance its gut health offering.

Granola Crunch Zero is low GI, providing a sustained energy release over an extended period therefore keeping you fuller for longer and improving blood glucose control.

In addition to this, it is high in fibre and a source of protein, offering the health-conscious consumer a beneficial and satisfying option to add to their diet.

“Furthermore, our immune systems rely on a healthy digestive system,” Ratan adds.

“This is why probiotics have received significant recognition over the past few years for their crucial role in maintaining the correct balance between the bacteria in our gut.

“Their ability to help ensure the adequate functioning of our gastrointestinal microbiota is why we have also included them in our Granola Crunch Zero”.

With the addition of desiccated coconut and cinnamon, consumers are promised the same delicious taste they have come to expect from FUTURELIFE.

Not only a great breakfast option, Ratan suggests four additional ways to enjoy Granola Crunch Zero:

1. Dry Snack: Grab a handful straight from the pack for a satisfying crunch on the go.

2. Yoghurt Parfaits: Layer Granola Crunch Zero with your favourite yoghurt and fresh fruit for a nutritious and delicious parfait.

3. Salad Topping: Sprinkle Granola Crunch Zero on top of salads for an added crunch and subtle sweetness.

4. Healthy Dessert: Use it as a topping on frozen yoghurt for a guilt-free treat.

Whether enjoyed on its own, as a topping or incorporated into recipes, FUTURELIFE Granola Crunch Zero is on shelves now, line priced to the rest of the Granola Crunch range.
