Pretoria – There are no warrants of arrest for National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola, says the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC).

Commenting on the matter on Tuesday, 12 August 2025, IDAC Spokesperson Henry Mamothame said in the past weeks, there have been media queries relating to “unfounded allegations of warrants having been issued for the arrest of the National Police Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola and others”.

Mamothame said IDAC, an entity within the National Prosecuting Authority, has taken note of numerous false articles that have been published on these allegations.

“IDAC maintains what it has repeatedly confirmed to the media: These are untrue allegations; no such warrants have been issued,” said Mamothame.
